Rail Transit for Northwest Arkansas

Proposal for a Transit Oriented Development for the Northwest Arkansas Region based on light rail. The region is already one of the fastest growing areas in the United States, with population estimated to triple in the following years and eventually reach 1 million by 2050. The region is home to a number of corporations, particularly the Wal-Mart. In order to preserve the existing natural landscape of the region and provide for sustainable growth, TOD is presented as an alternative to the present sprawling suburban model.
