The Ideal Zoo
Speculation, August 2007, Anywhere

Instead of traditional random zoo layout, the speculation works with basic premise of dividing the animal habitats into gradient zones from cold to warm climates and wet to dry surfaces. As such the resulting composition would offer wide range of habitats, where animals of similar needs, rather then from thematized continents would share the same landscape and intensify visitor’s experience. The only boundaries would be between those species that could harm each other. The animals would benefit from larger habitats, shared with a variety of mutually cohabiting species.
