Urban Pavillion Speculation, March 2008, Anywhere This is a light, prefabricated and temporary structure dominated by a small garden on the top. Its footprint of 6x16.5 meters provides flexible space on the ground floor for exhibitions, small cafe bar, internet and media access and restroom. It is a meeting point - a clearly visible Icon to be deployed within a suitable urban context. The project is driven by ‘no-nonse’ - straight approach resulting in a humble, yet witty structure with clear and memorable identity - a variety of programs and activities contained in a box, carrying a tree garden on its roof. It can be accessed from three sides via operable screens, the roof can be entered through interior staircase.
