Siloam Springs Courthouse
Design VI, Spring 2004, Siloam Springs Arkansas

Occupying a highly sectional site, the Courthouse building is designed as a simple envelope, indifferent to its immediate context. Instead the organizational efforts are directed inside, articulating relations of program and the contrast of solid/void within the main bar geometry. The main programatic elements, particularly the two courtrooms, two lobbies and a garden are anchored, allowing the supplementary program to be placed in the interstitial spaces.
